Sizing Aam mailing list

Here's an explanation of the site headings:

Above the quiz headlined in the top menu is a recent news clip from Trinidad and Tobago Television.

Please play it for an introduction to this presentation.

The Quiz itself has eight items of historical or current interest in Adventism, each introduced by a newspaper clipping or picture beside a question. You consider four options and, to test your knowledge relative to music in our church, you choose and click one.

Note you have to scroll down to the answers.

The feedback is immediate, to advise if your choice of answer is correct.

You click the arrow underneath to continue to the next question.

At the end, you have the option of logging in to see your result and to review information offered in the quiz.

Alternatively, you may click the last line to continue to the About page. This leads to an outline of the rationale and introductory information about this blogger. Please note current material is, or will soon be accessible to logged-in users only.

Unless you follow the quiz, you will need to use the back button to return to the main menu.

Hopefully, this will be a learning experience for us all.

I look forward to meeting and interacting with you today.

About the Author

Follow me

I was born in Trinidad, in the former British West Indies, far removed from the Mossi people of Burkina Faso, my ancestors in West Africa. My name, Horace, reflects the Latin, Christian setting dominant in Trinidad and Tobago.
My last name, Scobie, comes from an ancestor who migrated from Perthshire, Central Scotland to live in Tobago. This island, site of the first English adventure novel – The Life and Adventures of Robinson Crusoe – is where I spent my earliest years.
As a West Indian, I am the result of extended European “adventure” in Africa and the Caribbean. Not only in name, but in language, by education, religion and nationality I am a child of empire, born British and keen to record that cosmopolitan experience.
